Maka Batiashvili’s solo exhibition
Project ArtBeat presents Maka Batiashvili’s solo exhibition of artworks made in different techniques in 2015-17. Drawings and canvases in two main colors will be exhibited at Project ArtBeat new gallery space from 24th November to 28th December, 2017.
“Paintings are related to the transience of time where black and white are the dominant colors. Time distances made the old shots, archived in mind, more mysterious. The feeling of the missing moments, that does not belong to us anymore, outlined several shots from memory as black and white images.
Drawings are made on different paper textures with one movement and the instant mood. The drawn lines of spontaneous movements flow deep into the paper and form the figures, as a result of choreographic motions” – Maka Batiashvili, 2017.
Maka Batiashvili (Born in 1975, Georgia) lives and works in Tbilisi. 1992-97, the artist studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Tbilisi.
